Reporting automation

Stop rebuilding the same report every month.

I automate the NFP reporting that eats your team’s week - getting data out of Infoxchange systems like CIMS and SRS, checking it and turning it into Power BI reports that stay up to date. Your current systems stay exactly where they are.

How it works

How the reporting month changes.

Every month, someone downloads the same files.

Client records, feedback forms, the funding spreadsheet. One export at a time.

Then copies, pastes and checks it all by hand.

The totals don’t quite match, the versions multiply and the report is late again.

We connect to the systems you already use.

Your current systems stay in place. The downloading simply stops.

Behind the scenes, the numbers are gathered and checked.

Checks run before each report updates, so problems can be found and fixed first.

Your report is just there, up to date.

Open it whenever you need it. Every number traces back to where it came from.

Before you get in touch

Questions about reporting.

Do we have to replace CIMS or SRS?

No. Your current systems stay exactly where they are - I work around them. Neither reporting project replaced the client’s system.

Which systems have you worked with?

So far CIMS, SRS and SurveySparrow, published through SharePoint into Power BI. If yours is different, tell me what it is and I’ll be straight about whether it fits.

Where does our data live?

Inside the access and hosting set-up we agree before any work starts. For Women’s Community Shelters that’s their own Microsoft environment - SharePoint and Power BI.

Can we trace a number back to where it came from?

That’s the aim. The original files are kept and the data is checked before each release, so a figure on the dashboard can be followed back to its source and how it was worked out.

What if our current numbers are wrong?

Then it’s better to find out early. At Women’s Community Shelters the work turned up calculation and join issues - we fixed the definitions or flagged them for review before anyone relied on them.

Tell me which report eats your week.

Say which report it is and which systems it comes from. I’ll reply with a sensible next step.
